Guess: What is it?

"MUST BE A COLLABORATION WITH OUTER SPACE
OF SOME SORT
OR A SHOWER CAP OVER A NEIGHBORHOOD."  - Edith

"The color and top texture appear to be coconut, but it seems more gelatinous than that.

I have to guess that it is a fruit…suet would be less white.
It looks pretty yummy and juicy, but still gelatinous. ?????
Maybe in the melon family?"
"Mangosteen?"
"Pineapple sorbet!"
"Whoops…lemon sorbet!" - Amy

"However, this is a broken piece of fat that rose to the top of a jar of hot chicken broth.
(2nd possibility= wax from top of a canning jar.)
(3rd possibility, broken piece alabaster)"  - Faye

ANSWER GIVEN:
Biten hard-boiled egg white from friend's son's backyard chicken.

"OF COURSE!!!!!
It looks like an egg white!" - Amy

Traveling Inside Favorite Lavender Essence Shampoo Bottle

Thrills me to see purple bubbles inside my almost empty purple bottle, if I shake it. Shooting into the sun creates a tiny world of magenta color and weirdness for me to explore through a very narrow passageway.

Strange & Beautiful

Conch
I found decades ago in Miami Beach's Atlantic Ocean.
© Joy Krauthammer

For some strange reason, when I photographed this conch, I thought about a baby at birth crowning its head, and also about elders, and being crowned with wisdom.
This felt like a birthing conch to me. It sits on my redwood picnic table.

MY SISTER shoots LACMA strings: "Penetrable"
© Joy Krauthammer

"In the 1950s and 1960s, several Latin American artists settled in Paris, where they became key players in the movement of kinetic and op art. One such artist was the Venezuelan Jesús Rafael Soto, whose projects directly engaged the viewers’ participation. This is the case of Penetrable, 1990, a long-term loan from the Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros, installed on LACMA’s plaza.
When viewers walk through the dense curtain of plastic tubes, they disappear into them and become part of the work. Soto was profoundly interested in the dematerializing effect of light, which he sought to recreate through such works. In the artist’s words “[the] man is no longer here and the world there, he is inside the fullness and it’s this fullness that I want to make people feel.”
Although Soto’s work is conceived as a geometric sculpture, it lacks a solid surface or plane; its shape is easily altered by human contact, or even natural elements such as wind and rain. In other words, it is a work in constant flux. This playful and profoundly sensorial aspect of Soto’s Penetrable has made it one of the most popular works in the museum—an object that invites the viewer to become one with the work of art."

Painted Path Stream
River of Light ~ Gan Eden
© Joy Krauthammer

"There is a River whose streams make glad the City of G*d".  -Psalm 46:4

This painting I did over 2012 photo from Rain Forest in Costa Rica is IN PROCESS.
II feel like the Light has been poured out.

Painted on my birthday today, and not yet finished: A new digital technique for me.

I needed to do less 'Hallmark looking' perfect precision patience needed style (which I felt proud of having diligently done the 'tool' techniques), and needed to explore freely without errors being judged by myself.
Even my friends noticed in the 'Hallmark' style cards, the lack in my style of "Joyness".

Learning, I understand, needs a foundation, just like a clay pot on the spinning wheel needs centering first, before altering in discovery and joy.

Do you see the little butterflies and little leaves?
The Golden tree feels to me like a date-laden palm tree.

Using detail of painted photo, here's a card I had fun making.
(Do I think the 1 year old child will even look at this card?)
