The Garden of Eden is saying: "Arouse yourself, O north [wind], and come O south! Blow upon my garden, let its spices flow out;
let my Beloved come to His garden and eat of its precious fruit." (Song of Songs 4:16)

Grapefruits
or Grapefruits, Sunburst and Tree
Garden of Joy
Blessed to have a large harvest, I share the fruits with individuals, and organizations that feed the hungry.
Last year I had 8 big boxes to share at one time. I pay gardeners to climb into tree for me.
Each day I remove the dead dried twigs from prior harvest.

Oranges, Buds
Garden of Joy
© Joy Krauthammer
I love it when the new blossoms and the newly ripe citrus are together.
Growth process takes a full year. from bud to harvest.
Winds take down hundreds of blossoms, laying a white carpet on the ground.
Creatures like raccoons and squirrels love my fruit!
Wish they'd take the ones on top of tree and not ones nearer to me.

3 Aoniums
Garden of Joy
© Joy Krauthammer  2.9.2015
I love the succulents that give birth to these yellow cones that attract bees.
This year the Aoniums are receiving more sun, no longer blocked by the prior thick passion fruit vines.
